2024 Mississippi QSO Party

WG5GK and N5GD enjoying the beautiful weather at Atwood Water Park, Monticello, MS

A small group of us set up camp at Atwood Water Park in Monticello, MS (Lawrence County) to participate in the 2024 Mississippi QSO Party. Thursday was a camp set up day where we set up the site, discussed where and how we were going to erect antennas and our station.

K5IJ attempting to send up a line for the dipole. After several tries, WG5GK took over and was successful. Yay!
WG5GK’s “Garden on a Bun” was outstanding!
We brought homemade hot dog chili using a recipe shared by NA5DX! It was soooo good!

We were super excited to have W5SMN join us camping! He went over to Jefferson Davis County to Jefferson Davis Lake for the event.
