The MDXA Bulletin
"CQ ... DX ... CQ ... DX ... From K5MDX"

Important announcement from the council... Greetings From Your Interim Council, We have finally come up with a plan to move ahead with MDXA Club business under the terms of the recently adopted Constitution and Bylaws. As you may expect, the first order of business is to establish a new membership list based on dues paying members. We hereby declare that dues for the remainder of CY 2008 and ALL of CY2009 are due and payable.
We invite each of you to become a CHARTER MEMBER of the newly organized MDXA, therefore, all who pay their dues by December 31, 2008, will be considered "paid up" members through December 31, 2009 AND receive a special one time CHARTER MEMBER certificate. All dues paid after December 31st, 2008, will cover membership for CY2009 and will earn a Membership Certificate.
Membership dues are as set forth in the new Constitution and Bylaws, and shall be $25.00 per 12 months (except for this special one time CHARTER MEMBER offer). Family memberships shall be $25.00 per year for the first member and $10.00 per year for each additional family member living under the same roof. Student memberships are available at an annual rate of $10.00 per year, upon request. All other Bylaws will apply.Upon receipt of this e-mail, CHARTER MEMBERSHIPS may be obtained by forwarding your dues by cash, check or money order to: Magnolia DX Assn. Inc., PO BOX 576 Saucier, MS 39574-0576

Recent changes.... Our new and current membership list is now on the website. When you look at the list of members you'll only see persons who are current and fully paid up with their dues. If your name is not there and you paid your annual dues please email either me, webmaster@mdxa.org or Ed, KA5VFU@mdxa.org.

Our monthly meeting will be held on August 9th at 5 PM as a dinner meeting in Wiggins, MS at the Western Sizzlin on Hwy 49. Our guest speakers are both running for Delta Division. Mickey Cox, K5MC, from Louisiana and Karl Bullock, WA5TMC

What hath God wrought?

On Friday, May 24th, 1844 Those words - were sent by Samuel F. B. Morse, using his famous device known as the telegraph. The message sent from the US Supreme Court in Washington to his assistant, Alfred Vail, in Baltimore. And the rest is history dit-dah-dit-dah-dit-dah

Message from the Webmaster... As you all can see, we have a new website. Its a little bit different and I hope that everyone can make use of the new layout. The new site went active on May 1st, 2008, and you can expect many more features and additions in the near future. The old site had a lot of links spread out all over the place. I'm trying to work on a way to streamline this so you won't have to look everywhere for them. Until I aggregate those old links into this new website I will provide a link back to the old website by clicking here. If anyone has problems with the new website, or if you have any suggestions please email me. Thanks, Jimmy, KB5FSV

And remember. . DX just isn't everything - DX IS!
